I am a dad, I have a duty of care. Not only to stick around but also so my kids know what is coming their way in a few years’ time. I want them to know what they need to watch out for. That being said, I also have a way of life I want to keep, I’ve got dreams, I’ve got ambitions, I’ve got a retirement plan. I want to keep getting on the bike a few times a week, I want to keep taking the kids down to the tennis court. Looking after my health not only is my job as a husband and father, but it keeps me doing the things I want to be doing.

It is hard to find the time to take care of yourself with 12-hour shifts, but when Maxwell Plus came and talked to us – the numbers shocked me. It shocked me that more men die from prostate cancer than women die from breast cancer. What you guys have invented is brilliant, it’s peace of mind so we can forget about it until we get the reminder. We can just get on with life again knowing it’s fine. Seeing the next generation build these things makes me excited. My old doctor just used to jab me in the arm and say “you’re good, see you later”. I know you guys are doing a better job. You’re specialists, you’re innovating.
